I have to say that the South is beautiful in the spring! The weather is perfect and it’s so lush and green, even the weeds are pretty! Can it stay like this all year???
I’m finally back to posting pics of what I’m wearing. It’s been a little busy around here between sports, end of the school year projects, field trips and more, but it’s so nice out that I have to take advantage of it. Hope you all have a great week, check back for more of what I’ll be wearing this week!
Mother’s Day is a little more than three weeks away and with Joel and I living across the country from our moms it’s time to start figuring out what we’re getting them to celebrate their special day. Although our mom’s get along famously, they’re very different when it comes to buying gifts. My mom is a little more on the glam side and Joel’s mom is a little more sporty. Here are a few ideas I’m going to pick from for each of our moms…
A couple of weeks ago I shared my favorite makeup for spring. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite drugstore finds. I love trying all makeup and sometimes the “cheap stuff” is just as good if not better than name brand. Here’s what I love…
Neutrogena naturals Acne Spot Remover: I love this especially since I break out with all this southern humidity! It’s a must have if you deal with the random (or monthly) breakouts.
Wet-n-Wild coloricon eyeliner: I’m seriously obsessed with this! I always used MAC until my mom made me try this and I like it so much more! It’s a richer black and stays for days! (Maybe not days but for a long time) For $1.00 it’s worth trying.
Maybelline master shape eyebrow pencil: I love how waxy this pencil is. I wasn’t blessed with perfectly shaped brows and am envious of those who are but this definitely helps control my unruly brows.
O•P•I nail lacquer: Who doesn’t love this??? I just picked this one up for a spring, I love a soft peachy pink nail, the color is Passion.
And of course we all need tweezers, hair ties and some fashion mags. I hope you’ll share what some of your favorite drugstore makeup is with me!
I’ve been busy trying to plan out our Easter outfits before it’s too late. I love to coordinate as a family and this year I’m going with a blue, grey and coral theme. Here are some outfit ideas that I’ll be pulling from for my family.
Today marks one year since our family packed up our house in Virginia and moved down to Alabama. Joel and I have moved around a lot over the past 12+ years but I think this has been the biggest change because we know this is where we’ll stay. Joel loves his job, the kids love their school and friends, and I love our neighborhood and the little community we’re in. Joel and I are both shocked at how quickly the kids have become Tiger fans and how much pride they have for the state of Alabama after such a short time. The south is a whole different world but we’re loving it and are excited for what the next year has in store for us. Here are a few pics from my phone I thought I’d share of our past year…
